What have you written on the past year's calendar of life? I took time to look at mine, and noticed what I had written last year...I remembered the good days and noted some that I would like to forget. God does bless us with good days...We also have to bravely embrace those which are not so good. Perhaps it is on those days, He strengthens our hearts through the sufferings of our souls to make us stronger...I hope you will read this week's new devotional "Calendars of Life" and remember our lives may change, but God does not. Monday...Brr It's cold here in the Midwest. I really don't like cold weather. I look for opportunities to bring warmth to my soul...warm  slippers, hot coffee, and hope that God will prepare me to greet the cold,as I open the door to my day ahead. God doesn't always allow perfect days to set the stage for what He has planned as we walk with Him. But, He does provide us with tools we need to arm ourselves to face the day ahead, no matter what the weather brings...I pray  you will have a good day ahead and prepare your heart to walk with God. He loves you, and wants to bring warmth to your heart, even on the coldest of days...

Christmas is over...For some, there is a feeling of sadness and a sense of longing for the excitement of joy once again...Christmas cannot come every day, but  joy can always be found in Christ's loving presence in our lives. The joy of the Lord is our strength... Learning how to find joy ,and feeling the peace that passes all understanding is what we need. Pray today God will help you continue to wait for the Christ Child...wait, with anticipation and belief, that in His presence the best is yet to come...Then, with a grateful heart, it may just seem like Christmas every day of the year, as you receive the gifts God has chosen just for you.

 It's Christms Eve...Thank you God for quiet moments to consider why you sent your precious Son to our world...Jesus, Prince of Peace...How we need you here!  As we welcome the Christ Child, take time to be still and thank God for Jesus...I pray you will be blessed ,as you feel the presence of the King who was humbly born in a stable. I pray you will humble your hearts, and accept the love He wants to share with you, as you understand His purpose for your life. Happy day before Christmas Eve...Today I will be making fudge.  I decided to skip it this year, but my son let me know he loves fudge, and would miss it. (smiles)  As I make final preparations for Christmas Day, I consider some will try to "skip it this year", as they plan their holidays without attending church to celebrate the birth of our Lord...Some do not even consider why we celebrate Christmas...Let us all adore, and praise God for the best gift of Christmas...May He bless you as you prepare to greet our Savior who has come to save our world...

 Jesus is worthy of our praise... He lovingly allows each one of us to bow down at His feet, and know Him as Lord. He takes us, just as we are, and holds us close, even though we do not deserve His precious grace... Christmas is coming soon. God can help us realize Christmas Spirit is found inside the heart of those who know Him as Lord. When we take time to think about the baby who came to save our world, we understand why we need to share about His birth. I hope we are never too busy to spread the Good News, and allow God to bless us with His best gift of Christmas. There is loving reward for a heart that is ready to embrace the Christ Child, and discover the precious peace He brings to His children, because of His love for all of mankind.

I love to wake early in the morning when the house is quiet, except for the sound of the keyboard. I thank God for the warmth of my kitchen, and a good night's sleep. I consider the day ahead, and understand God has provided for me. I remember He will be present as I worship. I will share the songs of my heart with Him, and praise the Holy One who allows me to relfect in His greatness. It will prepare me to joyfully anticipate what God has planned for me.
