It's the beginning of a new day...My heart is filled with anticipation for something I have been waiting for to arrive...Sometimes the mail is slow and it's frustrating .We have expectations something will happen, and often it does not. Maybe God needs us to be patient as we wait for packages, and as we wait upon Him. Maybe during awkward moments of wonder, we should consider  the best things in life are worth waiting for...God knows our every need. I am going to be patient today and understand  He will bless us in His time, for HIs purpose, even when we have to wait.

As I woke with God, I thought about two words..."we remember". As the Easter season approaches, there is plenty of time to prepare our hearts, and remember Jesus' sacrifice...He was nailed to a cross, and suffered! We often forget God knows our sufferings.We need to be reminded of the deep love He has for all of His children. Let's not wait until Easter to remember. Read More »

Brr...When I as a little girl I loved the snow...Now that I am older, I long for spring! Lord, help me appreciate every day you have created. Through all types of weather, help me walk with a grateful heart. Help me appreciate each day you provide, even when there is SNOW in the forecast! (smiles) As you weather the storms, I pray God will show you His presence and keep you safe in His loving arms of love.

Happy Tuesday ...This morning as I got ready for work, I thought about the little children who worship with me on Sunday mornings. They love to sing (loudly) with the guitar, and make a joyful noise. I often tell them they are making God happy, as they use their voices and spend time with Him. I'm tired this morning as I begin the day ahead, but I realize I need to be more like the children...I need moments to "shout" to the Lord from my heart... We don't have to sing loudly, or clap our hands...We can honor God as we remember to begin our day with Him, and fill ourselves with what we need...Will you take a moment now for God? I often write about looking ahead, but this morning I realize sometimes God needs us to look behind, so we can understand how He has lovingly taken care of our needs...I reflect on prayers of the past, and realize I should begin this new week ahead with a grateful heart. God provide for us. It's easy to forget what He has already done, especially when we become frustrated as we look ahead and wait. As I continue to seek Him, I will remember to praise Him for what He has already done. I will faithfully serve and allow God to reveal His will for my life. Have a good week ahead friends... "Why can't I see what the Lord's done for me? Why can't I open my eyes? Why do I question my purpose on earth...Why do I always ask why?"These are lyrics I wrote several years ago. As I prepare for this week's devotional, I'm reminded it often takes awhile for God to prepare us for His  purpose. God knows the plans He has for each of His children. O God, give me a grateful heart as I live in this place called Today.  I may not be who I want to be, but I am who You have allowed me to be.  Thank You for bringing purpose to who I am and what I do.  I have not arrived at the place called Tomorrow, but I believe it is a place filled with promise and hope.  I rest assured that You will continue your good work in me and will bring it to completion according to your wise and loving purposes for me. It's Thursday friends... It's raining here, but the fog has lifted. Last night it was difficult to see the road ahead. I knew where I wanted to go, but the way was not clear. We often know where we want to arrive, but have difficulty seeing clearly. God can lift the fog in our lives, and give us direction and purpose when we call on Him. He is the light which leads us home, even when we cannot clearly see what is ahead. Have a good Thursday friends. I am praying for you!
