Good to see you here...Come on in and we can talk for awhile...

All things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

I love this scripture! It reminds me God knows the plans He has for our future...He is present in our lives and He loves us. When we put our trust in Him, He allows us to work all things together for good. I pray you will consider this as you move ahead in your Sunday, understanding God has a purpose for YOU. God bless you friends. Have a great day ahead!

This morning I'm thinking about those on our Prayer List . I consider there are many who need prayer. And, there are many who read these blogs who struggle in situations of their own.

God answers prayer, in His time and for His purpose... He knows what is spoken before we come to Him and make our requests known. God knows our needs. It's hard to be patient and wait for answers, and it's hard to understand why God doesn't always answer prayer in the way we might expect.  But, as we wait upon the Lord, He prepares us to recognize He has heard our prayers, and He allows us to understand they are being answered. I am praying for YOU.&l Read More »

Good morning friends...Memorial Weekend is ready to begin. Many of you may have plans to enjoy special moments with your families, as you welcome summer! It is also a weekend to remember those who have died. I will be helping pass out flyers at a cemetery on Monday, surrounded by beautiful flag displays. I'm sure there will be opportunities for me to consider how lucky we are to live in America. If you haven't already, listen to the song my students and youth helped me record. It's on the Songs Page here. "I'm thankful to live in a place where I am free, to choose who I will serve and worship faithfully...I'm proud of what I feel when I look across this land, and see the heart of good in those who understand, one nation under God is what we need..." As you listen to the little voices sing their tribute to the country they love, consider those who are no longer with us and thank God for their lives.

Good morning to YOU...It is early here. For some reason, I can't go back to sleep. Does that ever happen to YOU? Sometimes I wonder if God provides these moments for a reason...Maybe it is His way of inviting us to spend time with Him. In the early morning hours I find peace for my wakeful soul. When the house is quiet and has yet to wake with  morning rush, God allows me to become available to Him.

Something wonderful happens when we take time with God. He prepares our hearts to arm ourselves with all we need, and He shows us how to serve Him with the gifts He provides...I hope you will find some time for God before you begin your day... He is waiting to spend time with YOU.

When my mother was very ill, people used to say "take it one step at a time." I got tired of that phrase, and at the time couldn't see that one step at a time would make a difference in my situation.  After her death, I realized  taking each day "one step at a time" is exactly what I needed...It helped me understand that although it would not change my situation, it would allow me to learn to cope with my loss. God strengthens us and prepares us... There is great purpose in moving ahead in His time. He allows us to find content and once again experience peace in our lives, when we can look forward to what is ahead. I am praying for YOU as you live your life one step at a time and walk with Him.

Summer School begins today...(ahh) Six more weeks with the children, and then there will be much needed time off. (smiles)

Children love summer at preschool. Each week there is an exciting theme. They love the many opportunities for learning. But if you were to ask them what they enjoy the most, they would say, "popsicles on the playground." There is something special about eating a delicious cold treat in the great outdoors. Children eagerly anticipate snack time and look forward to their reward each day.

God has a reward for each one of us. He wants us to eagerly await the treasure that is ours. God plans our days, and we can look forward to what is to come as we faithfully serve Him.

Good morning Monday...Our internet service was out yesterday and I wasn't able to post the devotional. It makes me sad when that happens. But, strength comes in knowing that no matter what our circumstances create, God can use us to serve Him, as we find a way to push through the obstacles which often interfere with our plans. Thank you God for the day ahead and for opportunities to remember you are in control, even when we become frustrated. Amen

Good Sunday morning friends,,,Today is a day of worship. I love to listen to the voices of many praising God...How often we forget to lift our hearts to the one who provides for us. God is worthy of our praise...Not just on Sunday, but every day. We we stand in His presence in awe of all He has done. He gives content for our hearts and hope for all that is to come as we trust in Him. God is worthy of our praise...Take a moment and thank Him for being Lord of your life and consider how you will worship Him today. "I will enter His gates with Thanksgiving in my heart...I will say this is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice for He has made me glad..."

I often wake in the morning with a song in my head. Does that sound silly? It's true... I sometimes hum it several times before I step out to greet the day. God puts songs in our hearts. Maybe it is His wake up call for us to come before His presence singing...God can do all things that we cannot. We do not have to be able to carry a tune to honor Him with our praises. Consider what God has done for you, and let your heart "make a joyful noise" each day you wake in the promise of knowing He is near...I am praying for YOU. Saviour He can move the mountains...My God is might to save, He is mighty to save...

Hello friends...God is near, and I praise Him for the opportunity to follow Him, as we anticipate where He will lead us in this day. We try to prepare ourselves to embrace what lies ahead and rely on faith to realize we are in the arms of God. I am always amazed what happens when we allow God to carry us, as we lean on Him. He shows us there is strength within us to stand on our own. We consider what may happen if we should fall, but God never lets us completely slip out of His loving arms. Whatever you face in the day ahead, remember you are not facing it alone. I am praying for YOU.

Nan's Thoughts... Minimize

The chairs which face the ocean will one day welcome all which is before me. I will sit by my Lord and stay awhile, resting in the place where God will allow me to fulfill the longings of my heart, and His purpose for my being...

I'm thankful to live in a place where I am free, to choose who I will serve and worship faithfully. I'm proud of what I feel when I look across this land, and see the heart of good in those who understand that one nation under God is what we need. Listen to this simple tribute to America, and enjoy the voices of the children who pledge their love to our country.
