Good to see you here...Come on in and we can talk for awhile...

By Nhodges on 9/4/2010 3:04 AM

Happy Saturday friends...What will you do in the day ahead? I'd love to hear about it. Whatever you do, I will be thinking of YOU.   The new weekly devotional is finished. You'll find it on the Devotional Page. I'm always grateful God gives a message to share each week. Writing brings joy to my heart. God allows us to be filled in his spirit of purpose when we become available to receive his gifts of love . I always pray you will find encouragement and peace, as you read the heartbeat of God's words and come before his presence with an open heart for him. God bless you friends. I am praying for YOU.

It's been a long time since I have stayed up all night...Last night I tried to sleep, but kept thinking about our son who was driving home from Wisconsin. He ran into a lot of rain and had to stop for awhile, until the weather cleared. I am so tired! I'm sleepy, but my heart is grateful Ben is home safely.

God never sleeps. He watches over his children and lovingly helps us find our way, even when we run into obstacles which cause us to stop for awhile. God helps us find our way home. I am grateful we have a Heavenly Father who provides for us. He loves us enough to "stay up all night" to calm our fears, and lead us to the place where we will eventually find rest. Have a great day ahead friends...I am going to teach today, and then come home and take a nice long nap! Read More »

How are you today friends? I have been thinking of YOU. Each time I post, I offer a prayer to God, and ask him to fill YOU in his presence.  I can't possibly know what's on your mind, but God does. He knows your heart and he knows what it is you are asking of him,as you open your heart to his will. The Bible says, " But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (NIV)  I pray you will consider these words of hope, and be reminded God is in control.

Have a great day ahead friends. God bless each one of YOU. I'm so glad you visit here each day.

Good morning friends. Today I am trying to focus my heart as I sit and spend time with God. How we need these moments to prepare us for the day. God is always with us. He never sleeps. He allows us to rest in His arms and wake to understand we are not alone. Romans 8:28 says And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God." These are wonderful words to remind us God is in control, and he loves us. Have a good day ahead. I am praying for YOU...

My little students will arrive this morning and spend an hour of Orientation with their parents. Some children will race through the door, ready to embrace all there is to offer. Some will shyly stand outside and observe for awhile, quietly preparing themselves to move ahead. Parents too,may also feel hesitant on our very first day.

God is pleased when we are ready to embrace what he lays before us. But, sometimes we are not ready to leave our place of comfort...READ MORE

happy Pictures, Images and PhotosHello friends, How are YOU today? This morning a scripture speaks to my heart. Titus 3:1 says "Be ready to do every good work."  I am often reminded how God uses us, in many different situations to share his love. Each day brings opportunity to reach out to others and "be ready to do good work " for God. Sometimes it is the simplest gesture which is appreciated the most. God really does connect us with others who lift us and remind us of his greatness. Will you be open to share his love today? I pray you will let God use you for his glory. You will be blessed!

Happy Saturday friends. This morning when I took Luci outside, I looked at the sky and noticed the bright shining light below the moon...How incredible to see Jupiter!  I saw the Big Dipper, and other stars shining so brightly.  I thought about their perfect placement in the universe, and considered how carefully God has placed them in the sky. Just like the stars, God has placed us where we can shine brightly for him. He allow us opportunity to notice how wonderfully he has created us. He wants us to glow in his greatness. Will you choose to allow God to open your heart, and show his love to those who need to be reminded he is near? I pray you will consider this, and let your "beautiful you" shine as bright as the marvelous morning stars...**********

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for this day. Lord, you are our hope in a world that needs your loving grace. As we gather here and come before your presence, help us feel the mighty strength of your love. You hear our prayers and lovingly prepare us to move ahead, in your time and for your purpose. You are mighty and holy. Lord, you can do all things. Help us put our trust in you and seek your face, as we lift our eyes toward your greatness and remember we are never alone. Amen

This morning I read Matthew 18:2-3 "He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." School will begin next week and my little students will burst through the door, ready to embrace the day. They will faithfully put their trust in me, and call upon me when they need help. Those who fear the first day of school, will soon learn they can find comfort from the  teacher who will lovingly take care of their needs. No wonder God needs us to become like the little children...He is our Father who wants us to trust he will take care of our needs, and faithfully understand we can find comfort in Him. Have a great day ahead friends!

The chairs which face the ocean will one day welcome all which is before me. I will sit by my Lord and stay awhile, resting in the place where God will allow me to fulfill the longings of my heart, and His purpose for my being...

I'm thankful to live in a place where I am free, to choose who I will serve and worship faithfully. I'm proud of what I feel when I look across this land, and see the heart of good in those who understand that one nation under God is what we need. Listen to this simple tribute to America, and enjoy the voices of the children who pledge their love to our country.
