God Knows What We Need...

I often share about my work at two Funeral Homes. Last night I helped a family who had lost their son. At the end of the evening, the mother gently took my hand. She wanted to speak, but there were no words...only eyes that shared a moment to reflect what could not be expressed. God heard the heartbeat of her words. He gently whispered comfort, and allowed her to find strength in moments of pain. He gently whispered peace, and prepared her soul to deal with the burdens of her heart. God strengthens us. Even when words cannot be spoken, He knows exactly what we need.

God Covers Our Wounds With a Bandage of Love...

Some of you have experienced pain this week. You have shared about illiness, loss of loved ones, and worry in your family situations. It's difficult to cope, when our hearts are hurting. But, God knows our pain. I believe we draw closer to Him, when we are faced with suffering that reminds us we cannot handle life on our own. God fills us with peace and strengthens our weary hearts. He knows when we are broken, in need of His bandage of love. God covers us where we hurt. He heals our wounds, when we put our trust in Him and remember He is near. God bless you friends. I am praying for YOU....

The Peace of God

I read a scripture which spoke to my heart...The peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ. Philippians 4:7 I love that verse! It reminds me God can bring peace to our hearts, no matter what we are going through.I pray YOU will remember this offering of hope, and allow God to remind you He is near. A Prayer Request...

Good morning friends... Today will be a busy day, as I prepare my book for submission. There is a lot of work ahead, but my heart is content as I consider how God has taught me to be patient. He has prepared me to understand He is the one who has given words to share, in His time and for His purpose. God lovingly rewards us with desire to move ahead, when He has filled us with His spirit of will. When we allow Him to lead us, He shows us opportunity to benefit from reward which comes from serving Him. Will you please pray God will allow Quiet Hour Devotions for the Wakeful Soul to touch the hearts ot those who need to find peace in wakeful moments? I for one, will be happy when I can hold my book, and allow God to lead me toward a place of rest, as I learn to become available to Him. Thank you for your prayers my friends. They will strengthen me in this busy day ahead.

When We Need to be Fed...

Good morning friends... I slept late this morning. As I walked into the kitchen, both of my cats reminded me they were hungry! They meowed loudly, demanding their food, eager to be fed! I consider how God feels when we are hungry to be filled with his loving presence. He must be pleased when we seek him, and eagerly wait to receive what we need to become full of his loving grace. God loves us. When we are available to him, he can help us discover a grateful heart of content, as we learn to understand what it takes for us to truly feel full. God bless YOU...

God is Everywhere...

Good Sunday morning to YOU friends...How good it is to take time and consider God is near. When I read this scripture, it reminded me God is everywhere. There is not a place where we can't find our loving Father. God wants us to seek him, understanding He is always present in our lives. Where can I flee from your presence? If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, Psalm 139:7,9 God bless YOU in the day ahead friends.

Sandcastles of Strength

As I prepare my weekly devotionals each week, I always ask God to give me a message to share. This morning I woke with thoughts of sand castles...hmm? As I reflect on this, I am reminded there is purpose in considering how we choose to build our lives. God supplies what we need to create a standing tower of strength. He desires us to form a foundation we can build upon. But, often we don't make good choices when we consider how to build. We don't allow God to direct us, and show us where we can safely ride out mighty waves of fury, which try to knock us down to despair. But, God can help us build sandcastles of strength in our lives, if we trust in Him. I'm going to consider this as I complete this week's devotional, and pray you will come back and read it.
