Happy Tuesday! It's raining here in the Midwest and the forecast calls for much more!  Ahhh rain, we know we need it from time to time, but it does get gloomy when it rains for several days. We long for the sun, and opportunities to go outside and benefit from what we need to fuel us. No matter how much we long for the sun, there will be days of rain in our lives. Darkness will cloud what lies ahead. But, when we faithfully believe better days will come, and trust in God, we will once again discover the golden gift of light, which will wake our hearts to joy, and remind us of what we have patiently been waiting to receive. Here we are, waking to another Monday...opening our eyes to see what God will lay before us, in this sleepy day of new beginning. It is up to us to get up. We must step out in faith, and open our eyes wide enough, so we do not miss opportunities God will provide in this day He has created. Will you walk with God, or will you walk away and miss out on moments He has chosen for you to embrace? God is closer than we think. He loves you and wants you to feel His presence, so you can appreciate every day of the week and understand He is here, especially on Monday!

Easter is coming...As I sit and consider what Christ did for each of us, my heart fills with grateful love. Why is it we sometimes forget Jesus knows our suffering? He died a horrible death. He wept. Those who loved Him grieved, and had to face the reality He had died. But, Jesus didn't stay dead! Without the resurrection, there would be no hope...I pray you will have hope in the tomorrow which God has already planned for you. I pray you will remember He is near. Happy Sunday friends. I often notice the new students who come to observe my classroom for the very first time...Some walk right in, expecting to teach the class if I would let them. (smiles) Some hesitate and take time to warm up and acquaint themselves with me. And, some seem perfectly content to engage in classroom choices they enjoy. I begin to understand their personalities in the first week of school, as I look at each child individually and provide for them. God looks at each one of us, understanding we all have different needs. He wants us to feel at home when He is in our presence, even if takes awhile for us to feel content and peaceful in His care. God bless you today as you remember how much you are loved by the one who will always provide for you.

Good morning friends...How are you today? It is a gray, cloudy day here, but I can hear the birds in my backyard singing loudly, reminding me there is hope of sunny days ahead. My classroom is filled with the color green to welcome  March, and the children cannot wait to get back outside!

Lord, help us be patient, as you prepare our hearts to once again welcome new life, and enjoy all that you have created. Help us understand the benefit of waiting upon you. Lord, you make all things new, and we thank you. Amen

Many months ago I submitted a piece to a Devotional Publication, and was happy to hear that my meditation was being considered for a future publication. I received word today that it will not be used, and was encouraged to submit again. I must admit, I felt a little discouraged as I was told to "keep writing!" As I sit and reflect on communications I have received, I begin to understand God is not finished with me yet...

God uses us as tools. We must be patient and allow Him to lead us to the door which will one day open wide, and embrace what He will offer. God lovingly prepares us for His greatness. Sometimes it is hard to be patient. But, when God reveals His plan, I know it will be well worth the wait, especially when we faithfully trust in His will...

Thank you God for friends. You lovingly provide them to lift us, and bring joy to our hearts. Friends share our laughter and tears. They share our sadness, joy, and the many burdens which are often hard to bear by ourselves. Friends remind us we are not alone. Help us remember we have a friend in you, oh Lord. Thank you for holding us, even when we forget how very much you love us, and forget that we have a friend in You. Amen
