Re: Thursday Thoughts

Hi Nan. You are so right. The time is going by too fast. Before you know it we will be starting a new year. That is if we don't drown before then. I have never seen so much rain and they say we can have 2-4 inches tonight. I have to remember "This is the day that the Lord hath made. I will rejoice and be glad in it." Even with all the rain this month, there is so much to thank Him for.
Hi Tex. I haven't heard from you in awhile. I hope all is well with you! Are you rooting for the Phillies in the World Series? I hope you both have a great Friday and an even better weekend.

Re: Thursday Thoughts

"moments in a hectic day, when God allows me to truly embrace His presence."

Nan, there are those moments in my day too. God has a way of showing us that He is walking with us. I need that so much and look forward to the moments when I catch glimpses of His presence.

Mars....so wonderful to see you here! I have been okay but busy with our move to another building at work. I should be in my new cell....I mean, work station..... by mid next week....smiles.
I don't really like the phillies.....I do like a good game where both teams have a chance to win....But although I like sports, I realize there are more important things to get excited about. Does that sound boring!! smiles...smiles.

I too both of you and other web friends have a great Friday!!! I hope it is a day that makes you smile.

Re: Thursday Thoughts

It is early Friday morning...it is quiet and I hear God saying......"Today is a day that I have made....rejoice in it and be glad!"
My heart says, "Yes, Lord, I will rejoice in this wonderful gift of a new day! I will go in the assurance of your leading, no matter where it takes me. I know that You lead beside still waters and You will refresh my soul. Thank you, God, for today."

Re: Thursday Thoughts

Good morning Tex..."I call to you in the quiet of the hour when I'm alone Lord, I know you're there for me." "Be still and know that I am God..." Yes, I love quiet time to feel the presence of God, and allow Him to speak to His children. God bless you in your day ahead as you receive those gifts which will bless you.

Why I Love the Ocean... Minimize

 I love the ocean, Lord...

I feel your loving presence, as I stand in awe of your greatness.

My heart cries to breathe in all which allows me to share the hope of your love.

Thank you God for words which flow like waves in my soul, rushing to greet me...

Each time I visit the ocean, you breathe new life into my being, and fill my heart with a message of love to share...

Thank you, Lord...

Nan's Thoughts... Minimize

The chairs which face the ocean will one day welcome all which is before me. I will sit by my Lord and stay awhile, resting in the place where God will allow me to fulfill the longings of my heart, and His purpose for my being...

I'm thankful to live in a place where I am free, to choose who I will serve and worship faithfully. I'm proud of what I feel when I look across this land, and see the heart of good in those who understand that one nation under God is what we need. Listen to this simple tribute to America, and enjoy the voices of the children who pledge their love to our country.
