Yes...when you give your worries to the Lord, when you truly let them go and ask God to just take them because they are bigger than you...all of a sudden, you find this peace comes over you and you feel a freedom that you can't even explain. I used to be a person that fretted over every little detail of life and when things didn't go according to my plans I would just become full of anxiety. When I let God take over the wheel and just allowed myself to be His passenger...I felt this most fulfilling feeling of calmness. I am at peace, even in the most out-of-control times of my life. I thank God for always being there and I know that He is always with me, no matter what I may be going through. And He loves us so unconditionally. I notice that the older I get, the wiser I seem to be getting...smiles....that is what I always loved about my elders...they were always more wise than me...now that I am starting to become the elder, I pray that I am wise enough to teach my children the way they should go. I pray that when people see me, they can see that there is something special inside me....it's our Lord Jesus Christ inside my heart. And I am so thankful! God Bless Nan and her beautiful, wonderful heart! I pray that her music gives hope and joy to the people that so badly need it. That is my prayer today.

I just read this beautiful message and want you to know that just tonight I had these same thoughts...God does love us and there is a peace that passes all understanding when we trust in Him and allow Him to carry the burdens of our hearts...We finally realize what it means to let go and let God when we feel His arms around us as we suffer through our worries...
I am grateful for your beautiful testimony of how God has blessed your life and I am praying for you as you continue to see that He carries you and loves you so much!

So glad you are doing this!! I'm very proud of you. I needed the devotion you had about lunch boxes. We forget about HOW MUCH He loves us b/c we get so focused on our weaknesses. You were so right abou that!!

Keep up the good work. This hillbilly is lifting you up in prayer!! Tell your hubby. OH< and was that YOU TWO dressed up as Raggedy A & A??

Hi my Hillbilly friend...Yes that is us...Don't you think we look the same? Well we do...Okay not really. It is so good to hear from you and know that you read the devotional...Hope you come back each week and read what God gives me to share...Oh and yes you are right...In our weakness we do often forget how deep the Father's love really is.
