Re: Who?

Nan, thank you for the reminders that it is okay to do nothing but allow God to fill us. We are all so activity-oriented. I remember someone saying that Jesus gave us the BE-atitudes, not the DO-atitudes. It is not easy to "stand still and dance inside" as you say.....(where did you get that? did you make that up? I really like it!).
Have a day that makes you smile!!

Re: Who?

Hi Tex
No, I can't take the credit for the sweet "be still and dance inside" I have it on a plaque at home.
Tex, will you please pray for my dad? He is having a biopsy done on Friday of this week...thank you!

Re: Who?

Nan, yes I will pray for you Dad. What is his name (if you don't mind). I will pray that God will fill him with peace and that the biopsy will show nothing wrong. I will pray for you too...I have read your comments about your Dad and how you love and respect him so I am sure you are concerned. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart."

Re: Who?

Well thank you Tex
You are a good Bloggin friend. My dad's name is Don. He lives in Florida. He is a wonderful, godly man and has always been a great father to my sisters and me...I appreciate your prayers for him!

Re: Who?

Hi Nan. Your July 4 writing was so beautiful. I really admire all who have a way with words, because I do not. I will say a prayer for your father and you!
Tex, I hope your holiday weekend was good. It was very wet here in Illinois. God Bless you both and have a great day.

Re: Who?

Mars, my holiday weekend was a mix of work and relaxing. Hope you and your family are doing well.
Nan, Mars is right...you have a gift of writing and thanks for sharing it.
Oh, and Mars, tell us what you think your gift is...if you don't mind. I'm sure God uses you and your gifts in special ways.

Why I Love the Ocean... Minimize

 I love the ocean, Lord...

I feel your loving presence, as I stand in awe of your greatness.

My heart cries to breathe in all which allows me to share the hope of your love.

Thank you God for words which flow like waves in my soul, rushing to greet me...

Each time I visit the ocean, you breathe new life into my being, and fill my heart with a message of love to share...

Thank you, Lord...

Nan's Thoughts... Minimize

The chairs which face the ocean will one day welcome all which is before me. I will sit by my Lord and stay awhile, resting in the place where God will allow me to fulfill the longings of my heart, and His purpose for my being...

I'm thankful to live in a place where I am free, to choose who I will serve and worship faithfully. I'm proud of what I feel when I look across this land, and see the heart of good in those who understand that one nation under God is what we need. Listen to this simple tribute to America, and enjoy the voices of the children who pledge their love to our country.
