Re: Travelers

Nan, how happy you must be to see your sons! I am so glad for you. Maybe you will take pictures and post them on your site....we like pictures!
I will be traveling too but, you know, no matter how far a person goes, those close to them are always in their hearts, even if they aren't with them on the trip.
Have a trip that makes you smile!!!

Mars, are you traveling this summer? I hope you take time for yourself and your family.

Re: Travelers

enjoy your travels Tex...We haven't seen our guys for awhile and are excited to see them. The weather should be nice where we are going...It's always nice to get away...

Re: Travelers

Nan and Tex, I hope God keeps you safe on your trips. I will not be taking any major vacations this year. Probably a 3 day trip in August. I did go to Oklahoma to see my new nephew a few months ago. Tex . . I think my gift is a love for helping people. I hope you both have a great weekend!

Re: Travelers

Mars....thank you for your wishes for safety. And your gift is one that is greatly needed in our world. I am sure that your gift is appreciated by many....I know Nan does and I do too. Your comments are encouraging and that is one important way to show a love for helping people.
Nan, if you check your site before your trip, just know that I too join Mars in praying for you. There is a verse that I think about when people are traveling and away...I don't have my Bible handy as I write, but I think it is Genesis 31:49..."The Lord watch between you and me while we are apart." Isn't that a neat verse and sentiment!!!!
Both of you, Nan and Mars, have a day that makes you smile!
Tex

Re: Travelers

Good morning. I guess you are both traveling at this time. I said a prayer for your safe travels this morning. I will miss talking to you. I hope your trips refresh your mind and body. I look forward to reading a new devotion from you Nan. God Bless you both!

Re: Travelers

Well hello Mars...
It's good to see you here...It was wonderful to get away and see the guys...We took a canoe on the lake Saturday and had a grand tour of the facility in a golf cart that was driven very fast...Do you think it's funny for a grown woman to laugh so much when her son drives fast????? (smiles)
God blessed us with a wonderful visit and a safe journey...Thank you for your prayers...It will be good to hear about Tex's travels when he gets back too!
God bless you Mars...

Re: Travelers

My brother was visiting from Texas and that was fun to show him some of the sights. We even made an excursion to Niagara Falls. I kidded about the Falls only being a "glorified toilet," but I know it was a lot more!
Glad to be back where I belong...as Dorothy says, "there's no place like home."
Nan, glad you had a great time with your sons.
And both of you, Nan and Mars, have a day that makes you smile!!

Re: Travelers

Welcome back Tex and Nan. I hope you both had a great time! I do agree with you Tex, there is no place like home. I prayed for both of you to have a safe and enjoyable trip. We went to the Home Run Derby last night in St. Louis. So many people. I look forward to hearing more from you all this week. God Bless.

Re: Travelers

Mars...that was quite a treat for you to go to the derby!!!! I will probably watch the game tonight and cheer for the National League and especially for the Cardinals players. I still remember Fred Bird "ministering" to Nan's friend Sandy in her final days, and any bird that does that is a winner in my eyes!!!
Thanks so much for your prayers. And I'm sure Nan appreciates them too.
Have a day that makes you smile!!

Re: God's Nature Mirror

Nan, I enjoyed reading your latest devotion. God does give us such beauty to look at each and every day. I hope you enjoy your time off from school.
Tex, are you back at work yet? I have never been to Niagra Falls. I would love to go sometime but I don't know if it will ever happen.
Tex, have you ever heard of Plumbsteadville, PA? Is that anywhere near you? A couple from church moved there over a year ago. I must get to work.
Take care and God Bless!

Re: Travelers

Nan, your writing was awesome, as usual. Keep listening to God and keep writing. We need you!

Mars, I go back on Thursday. I work for state government, and we are having a budget battle...no budget yet so I am working without pay...I think they are saying "the check's in the mail"!!!! Once the budget passes we will get paid....I am just thankful that I have a job; I know many people are out of work during these days.
I don't know where Plumbsteadville is...I will have to do a search (on the map) for it.

Nan and Mars, have a day that makes you smile! I'm actually smiling right now!!!!

Re: Travelers

Thanks Mars
I'm always glad to know you read the devotionals...They just keep coming, even when I'm not sure what I will write about...God is so good in that way and I am so grateful He uses me for His purpose. I hope others read them and hear what God is speaking to them too...

Hi ya Tex...Good to know you got to spend time with your brother...Niagara Falls? I bet that was a fun adventure.
I'm sorry to hear about your job situation. It is definitely something we can all pray about...and yes, thank God you have a job. There are so many who need to be held in prayer right now.

God bless you friends...
Nan The Third Musketeer (smiles) Do you think our blogging group will ever grow???? (more smiles)

Why I Love the Ocean... Minimize

 I love the ocean, Lord...

I feel your loving presence, as I stand in awe of your greatness.

My heart cries to breathe in all which allows me to share the hope of your love.

Thank you God for words which flow like waves in my soul, rushing to greet me...

Each time I visit the ocean, you breathe new life into my being, and fill my heart with a message of love to share...

Thank you, Lord...

Nan's Thoughts... Minimize

The chairs which face the ocean will one day welcome all which is before me. I will sit by my Lord and stay awhile, resting in the place where God will allow me to fulfill the longings of my heart, and His purpose for my being...

I'm thankful to live in a place where I am free, to choose who I will serve and worship faithfully. I'm proud of what I feel when I look across this land, and see the heart of good in those who understand that one nation under God is what we need. Listen to this simple tribute to America, and enjoy the voices of the children who pledge their love to our country.
