There are so many great verses that encourage me and show God's faithfulness and His greatness. But I have always loved the following verse, maybe because I like to write ~

"My heart is stirred by a noble them as I recite my verses for the King;
my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer." ~ Psalm 45:1

Good morning Nan and Tex. And what a beautiful morning God has blessed us with today! This morning I was reading a devotional by Liz Curtis Higgs about friends. The bible verse was - "A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need." Proverbs 17:17
Where would we be without our friends? I thank God for both of you and the time we can spend together.

Good morning to you, Mars. I agree, friends are always there. I am blessed to have you and Nan as friends.

Every morning, I tell God that I will embrace the day ahead as one he has made and I will rejoice in it. He is faithful to give us such wonderful starts to our days. I realize that some mornings are more special than others, at least in our own eyes, but they are all ones He has made for us to enjoy.

Thank you for sharing that verse and the thoughts with it.

I don't know if you visit here on weekends...Saturdays are nice, but often I am not able to accomplish what I want in one day. I hope you both have a day that makes you happy...God bless... I hope you both have a great weekend!

Nan, I had some time today and thought I would check...sorry but I keep forgetting when the devotional comes! I guess we shouldn't expect you to work on weekends!
I am smiling because God has blessed me in special ways today already. I like it when God "surprises" me - it turns an ordinary day into an extraordinary one!! Isn't God great!!
Now I am going to do some work back in my woods but I like doing that.
Nan and Mars....have a weekend that makes you smile!
