Re: School Will Begin Soon

Good morning Nan. I was thinking about the days when my boys started school. It seems long ago in some ways, and in others it seems like only yesterday. It brings tears to my eyes when I think how fast those years went by.
I know the children will be blessed to have you as their teacher, just as I am blessed to have you as my friend.
Hi Tex. I hope you are having a great week. I feel blessed to have you as a friend too!
God Bless you both!

Re: School Will Begin Soon

Hello there Mars. My daughter is 27 now but I cannot forget those school days. You are right, the years go by so fast. But God gives us the memories (and Kodak gives us the pictures!).
Mars, I am thankful for you. You too are a blessing in my life. I like that you have a heart for God and for people. I sense that in your comments.

Nan, it sounds like you are so busy preparing for the children. I am sure you are a great teacher and the children love you. I wanted to tell you both that I still remember my favorite teacher.....Mrs. Staats in first grade. She was so kind and gave the students personal attention. I just remember that she was so caring......and that her name was the same spelled backwards! Hmmm.....Ms. Segdoh????
Anyway you spell it, you are a blessing to us in your encouraging devotionals.
Both of you...have a day that makes you smile.

Re: School Will Begin Soon

Well hello...Here we are again..The three musketeers...How are you both?
I sometimes look at pictures of my boys and realize how quickly time has passed. Kindergarten memories are so vivid in my mind...Just as I begin to accept the fact that they are getting older, I sometimes try to fool myself into thinking that I am not...(smiles) Well, we know that is not true.

I thank God for both of you, my favorite blogging buddies...I thank God for happy memories of our children and special family time that God has given us. God bless you both!

Mars and Nan ~
I hope you both have weekends that make you smile!

Here it is so hot and humid and rainy. But I still choose to embrace the day as a gift from God's loving hands.

Thank you my friends for staying in touch!!!

 I love the ocean, Lord...

I feel your loving presence, as I stand in awe of your greatness.

My heart cries to breathe in all which allows me to share the hope of your love.

Thank you God for words which flow like waves in my soul, rushing to greet me...

Each time I visit the ocean, you breathe new life into my being, and fill my heart with a message of love to share...

Nan's Thoughts... Minimize

The chairs which face the ocean will one day welcome all which is before me. I will sit by my Lord and stay awhile, resting in the place where God will allow me to fulfill the longings of my heart, and His purpose for my being...

I'm thankful to live in a place where I am free, to choose who I will serve and worship faithfully. I'm proud of what I feel when I look across this land, and see the heart of good in those who understand that one nation under God is what we need. Listen to this simple tribute to America, and enjoy the voices of the children who pledge their love to our country.
