The Heavy Heart

 

Weighed down by suffering undeserved

…..sorrow and pain unexpected.

Tears, not for me

.....but for people unknown to me.

But known to You, O God.

…..and loved by You.

 

Beneath the rubble of tragedy

…..help us to find your love.

Arising from the ashes

…..lift us to find faith.

Amid the blast of sirens

…..may we hear the sounds of hope.

 

O God, take my hands

…..touch the lives of the suffering.

Take my feet

…..walk with those who hurt.

Take my heart

…..love the ones with no one.
